This card adds spatial dimension, modulation, and temporal dynamics to your bubble sounds.

Spatial Effects

KnobWhat It Does
TopologyFoam topology simulation — models how bubbles interact in a foam structure, including merging and rearrangement events.
WidthStereo spread of the bubble field. At 0, everything is mono-centered. At 100%, bubbles are distributed across the full stereo field.
Mirror DepthSimulates acoustic reflection from a water surface. Creates comb-filtering and depth perception.
Topology enables experimental foam physics simulation including coarsening dynamics and structural rearrangement events. While it creates interesting evolving textures, it can be CPU-intensive at high values. For most situations, leaving Topology at 0% is recommended.

Motion Modulation

KnobWhat It Does
ChaosOn each MIDI note, randomizes unlocked parameters by this amount. Creates variation between notes. Right-click any knob to lock it from Chaos modulation.
DriftSlow Brownian-walk modulation over 30-120 seconds. Parameters gradually wander with velocity-smoothed random walks, creating evolving textures without sudden changes.
ScatterPer-voice random variation. Each simultaneous bubble gets slightly different parameter values (surface tension, viscosity, decay, radius), creating natural ensemble variation. Zero effect when set to 0%.

Surge Modulator

Surge provides physics-based temporal envelopes that trigger on note-on, creating evolving foam events.
ControlWhat It Does
Surge ModeSelects the envelope shape
TimeTotal envelope duration (1-30 seconds)
DepthHow much the envelope modulates parameters (0-100%)

Surge Modes

ModeCharacter
OffNo temporal modulation
WaveSmooth sine-like swells
PummelAggressive attack, rhythmic pumping
RoilTurbulent, chaotic modulation
GushBuilding intensity, like water surging
BurstSharp attack, gradual decay
Surge modulates the Rate parameter among others. If Rate is already at maximum, Surge has nowhere to push it higher. Set Rate to 30-50% so Surge can modulate in both directions for the full dynamic range of foam events.
